Carnival Fifty Six is open from 12pm to 11pm each day, with last entry to the festival at 9pm, no exceptions.
The box office will be open from 11am.
The bars and food vendors will close at 10:45pm.
It’s better for everyone if you do not bring a bag at all. We will not allow large bags, suitcases or luggage into the venue but you will be permitted to take small bags and handbags in with you. We class small bags as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm or standard handbags. Please avoid bringing rucksacks or bags with multiple compartments where possible as it may delay your entry while they are searched.
C56 is open to everyone aged 12+. All those aged 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 26+, and an adult can sign in a maximum of THREE teenagers. We will be running a challenge 25 policy on the bars and on the entrance gates.
People may be asked for ID to prove they are 18+. Please note if you do not have a drivers license or passport, Young Scot cards are available to 12-26 year olds and are free to apply for. These will be accepted as forms of ID http://young.scot
C56 is a non-camping event, with the festival closing at 11pm both nights. However, we are running shuttle buses from the city centre to Camperdown Park and back to the city centre continuously throughout both days from 10am to 1:30am.
Drugs and psychoactive substances
C56 will be running a zero tolerance approach to drugs. Police Scotland and the security teams will be undertaking searches on entry to the event.
You will not be permitted to take any alcohol on site with you.
All of the bars will be running a Challenge 25 policy, and if you cannot provide ID you will not be served. While we want everyone to have a good time, please drink responsibly and know you limits www.drinkaware.co.uk
All tickets have a unique barcode. The barcode will be scanned on entry to the festival to ensure tickets are genuine. Please do not buy tickets from unauthorised outlets, as these tickets may be fakes using duplicated bar codes and you may be refused entry to the festival. We also strongly advise against posting pictures of your tickets on social media as the barcodes can be copied.
We will only be wristbanding VIP ticket holders, meaning if you have a weekend ticket you must hold onto it both days. It will be scanned on Saturday and given back to you, please make sure you keep it safe as you will need it to gain entry on Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday tickets
Saturday tickets will only allow you entry on Saturday and Sunday tickets on Sunday. Please come on the day you have bought your ticket for.
We have a welfare tent is situated between the bar and the main stage. If you are experiencing any difficulties please find the welfare tent for confidential support.
Security and Safety
- There will be a welfare area at C56 for anyone who may need some respite
- There Big Wheel is sat in the middle of the festival site, and can be seen from anywhere – so we advise making this your meeting point with friends
- Look after your belongings – make sure items such as your phone and wallet are kept safe and out of sight
- Cash back is available at the main bars
- Don’t leave your drink unattended at any point
- We recommend activating the “find my phone” app, and connecting with friends on “find my friends” before coming to the festival
- If you see anything that concerns you or anyone acting suspicious please speak to the nearest police officer, security guard or steward
Please report lost property beside welfare, situated between the bar and the main stage.
There are no ATMs on site, however the cash back is available at all the main bars.
C56 is at Camperdown Park, Dundee – postcode is DD2 4TF.
There will be no designated parking at Camperdown for C56 apart from our disabled access parking. With this in mind, please plan your journey in advance. If you are from Dundee, we are running shuttle buses from the city centre to Camperdown continuously both days – for more info click here.
If you are coming outwith Dundee, we would recommend parking at Greenmarket carpark, Bell Street carpark, or leave your car at your hotel. Please click here for pick-up and drop-off points for our C56 Shuttle buses.
If you are travelling by bus, the station is in the city centre. We would advise then using our shuttle bus service, with the Ward Road pick-up a 10 minute walk from the station. For more information about the shuttle service, click here.
Please note National Express are running coach services from six Scottish locations – Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Livingston, Perth and Stirling. The coaches will drop you off and pick you up at Camperdown. Day returns and weekend returns are available. For more information click here.
